Privacy Policy
Last updated: April 16, 2026
Pathor Meets is built on a simple principle: your meetings are yours. We don't sell your data, we don't build profiles on you, and we don't retain anything we don't need to.
1. Who We Are
Pathor Meets (meet.pathor.in) is a video conferencing product operated by Pathor Tech ("we", "us", or "our"). It is available on the web and as the PathOr Meet Android app, and is part of the PathOr product suite, which also includes Pathor Teams (teams.pathor.ai) and the PathOr platform (pathor.in).
For privacy inquiries, contact us at privacy@pathor.in.
2. Information We Collect
Guests (no account required)
If you join a meeting without signing in, we collect only what is technically necessary to connect your call:
- Display name — the name you type before joining.
- Connection metadata — IP address and network routing information used solely to route your media stream. This is discarded when your session ends.
- In-room activity — audio, video, screen share, and chat messages. These exist only during the live session and are never stored on our servers.
No account? No retained data. Once your session ends, nothing about your participation is stored by Pathor Tech.
Pathor Teams members (signed-in users)
If you sign in via Pathor Teams, your use of Pathor Meets is governed by the Pathor Teams Privacy Policy. Under that policy, we may store:
- Meeting history records (room ID, time, duration, participant count) linked to your Pathor Teams account.
- Host-action logs (mute, remove, admit) for compliance and operational support.
- Your Teams profile data (name, email, avatar) as already held by Pathor Teams — we do not duplicate or independently store this.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information collected solely to:
- Establish and maintain your video/audio session.
- Route media between meeting participants.
- Enforce meeting controls (PIN protection, host controls, waiting room admission).
- Provide signed-in Pathor Teams users with meeting history in their Teams dashboard.
- Detect and prevent abuse or service disruptions.
We do not use your data for advertising, tracking, profiling, or any purpose beyond operating the service.
4. Data Retention
Our default is zero retention.
For guests, all session data is ephemeral — it exists only while the meeting is live. When the last participant leaves, the session is destroyed and no data is written to persistent storage by Pathor Tech.
For Pathor Teams members, meeting log records are retained in accordance with the retention schedule defined in the Pathor Teams Privacy Policy. You may request deletion of your meeting history by contacting privacy@pathor.in.
5. We Do Not Sell Your Data
Pathor Tech does not sell, rent, trade, or broker your personal data — ever.
This applies to all users: guests, Pathor Teams members, and any visitor to meet.pathor.in or user of the PathOr Meet Android app. We have no data broker relationships, no ad-network integrations, and no third-party analytics that profile individual users.
6. Information Sharing
We do not share your personal information with third parties except in the following limited circumstances:
- Infrastructure providers — we use trusted infrastructure partners solely to operate the service. These providers are contractually prohibited from using your data for any purpose other than providing services to us.
- Legal obligations — if required by applicable law, court order, or governmental authority, we may disclose information to the extent legally compelled, and will notify you where permitted.
- Safety — to investigate suspected fraud, abuse, or threats to the safety of any person, in good faith.
7. Cookies & Local Storage
Pathor Meets uses a minimal set of cookies:
- Session cookie — a secure, HTTP-only session identifier for signed-in Pathor Teams users. It expires when you sign out or after a short inactivity period.
- Preference storage — your chosen microphone/camera device and display name are saved in your browser's local storage on your device only. This data never leaves your device.
We do not use tracking cookies, advertising cookies, or third-party analytics cookies.
8. Security
All communications between your browser and our servers are encrypted in transit. Meeting streams are relayed over encrypted channels and are not recorded or persisted by Pathor Tech. We apply industry-standard security practices to protect any information we do hold.
9. Children's Privacy
Pathor Meets is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact privacy@pathor.in and we will delete it promptly.
10. Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete personal data we hold about you; to object to or restrict certain processing; or to receive a copy of your data in a portable format.
To exercise any of these rights, email privacy@pathor.in. We will respond within 30 days. For Pathor Teams users, many rights can be exercised directly through your Pathor Teams account settings.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Material changes will be announced on pathor.in at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of Pathor Meets after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
